YouTube was founded in 2005 by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim, who were all early employees of PayPal. During the summer of 2006, YouTube was one of the fastest growing websites on the Web. On October 10, 2006, Google buys YouTube for USD1.6 billion, Google’s second largest acquisition. The rest as they say, is history.
